The second annual PSN PLAY event is kicking off beginning on July 31st, and for those planning on picking up some of the summer PSN titles for the PS3 and PS Vita, here’s your chance to potentially save up to $10.
Sony today announced that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, their SuperBot-developed, action-packed, anticipated PS3/PS Vita multiplayer brawler, is powering up for an October 23rd, 2012 release. New characters to be revealed later today.

Sony Computer Entertainment this morning that they have picked up Gaikai, the cloud-based game streaming service headed up by David Perry. Sony’s PlayStation Vita E3 lineup was, well, kind of anemic. We were honestly expecting a few big announcements and whatnot, and they never quite materialized. On the bright side, we did get some new LittleBigPlanet PS Vita screens, a trailer, and plenty of details as you can see.
PlayStation Plus gamers are getting a crap load of free games today… like several real, retail PS3 games and a couple of PSN games as well. There are also trailers and whatnot from the E3 also so grab them too.
Persona 4 Golden is coming soon to the Playstation Vita, and Atlus just released a new trailer showing off gameplay and cutscene footage for what could be one of the best portable RPG’s ever. Check it out!
To go along with the live demo during Sony’s E3 press conference, the confirmation of PS3 to PS Vita cross play/content/saves, and the announcement of Big Daddy and Drake as playable characters, SCEA sent over some new media showing off the fun looking multiplayer brawler.
Besides focusing on the games, SCEA made sure to mix in some new announcements for many of the products in the PlayStation Family, including the PlayStation Move, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Plus service, and the now renamed PlayStation Mobile program.
