This week’s Nintendo Download Update is pretty anemic, with only a small handful of releases for the 3DS and DSi and a retro Virtual Console title for the Wii. Bird Mania 3D, Amoebattle and Super Hang-On, respectively.

Nintendo today dropped a bit of a bomb with the announcement of a brand new Super Mario Bros. game scheduled to be released on the Nintendo 3DS later this summer. They also announced a Kirby compilation for the Wii, and a 3DS System Update that will provide new functionality and more.
