As Rovio has been teasing for a few days now, Angry Birds Star Wars II is now official and coming to a touch device near you on September 19th.
The new Angry Birds Star Wars follow-up is not merely a brand new Angry Birds adventure however. Rovio is taking a cue from Skylanders and Disney Infinity and introducing “Telepods” which allows new Angry Birds Star Wars toys to interact with the game to an extent. Other than the Telepods feature, Angry Birds Star Wars II will feature 30+ playable characters, the ability to choose a side, and more. The storyline looks to follow the prequel trilogy as expected.
