Sony today announced that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, their SuperBot-developed, action-packed, anticipated PS3/PS Vita multiplayer brawler, is powering up for an October 23rd, 2012 release.
Sony is prepared to reveal a pair of new characters a bit later today during EVO 2012, so make sure to stay tuned to the official PS Blog. They already revealed that those who pre-order a copy will be rewarded with an exclusive set of character costumes.

To go along with the live demo during Sony's E3 press conference, the confirmation of PS3 to PS Vita cross play/content/saves, and the announcement of Big Daddy and Drake as playable characters, SCEA sent over some new media showing off the fun looking multiplayer brawler.
SCEA this morning announced what has been rumored (but pretty much confirmed) for weeks. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is essentially Super Smash Bros. with PlayStation characters for the PS3, but fans won't care much. Check out the first screens, video interview and details.
