Even though Tiger Woods has signed up exclusively with 2K for their golf franchise, EA today has revealed that they are hard at work on a next-generation golf title in their long running EA Sports PGA Tour franchise (minus Tiger of course).
They have officially signed a long term deal with the PGA, so they will be able to represent quite a few pros and courses and the branding and all that fun stuff inclusive of events such as The Players Championship, FedExCup Playoffs and more.

Today, Electronic Arts Inc. announced EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, a new next-gen golf video game, currently in development. In EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, golf fans will be able to build their virtual career and experience the sights, sounds, and thrills of the PGA TOUR including THE PLAYERS Championship, FedExCup Playoffs and more unforgettable events. The game will also feature many of the world?s most famous courses, where fans will have the option to play against and as some of the biggest names in professional golf.
