Bethesda highlighted Doom Eternal quite a bit through their E3 conference yesterday evening, showcasing new gameplay and a new multiplayer mode called BATTLEMODE.
BATTLEMODE is a 2 vs. 1 multiplayer game where two players control demons, and one player controls the Doom Slayer, all of which are outfitted with a number of unique abilities to help them take the fight to each other. It looked pretty fun, and is a definite step away from the lackluster multiplayer mode of DOOM 2016.
The campaign video highlighted the fast, frenetic action that you’d want out of a sequel to DOOM. New weapons like the shoulder mounted flamethrower, meat hook accessory for the super shotgun, and more were on full display here.
