Tom Clancy’s The Division smashes Ubisoft launch records

The DivisionThe hype train for Tom Clancy’s The Division must have left the station at just about the right time since it apparently smashed some Ubisoft launch records this week.

According to the company, worldwide and across all platforms and formats, The Division has “sold through more copies in its first 24 hours of availability than any previous title in the company?s history”. So what’s the actual sales figures thus far? We have no idea since Ubi has yet to share them.  They do refer to “millions of players” but that’s not confirmation of sold-through numbers at all.

Anyway, the game appears to be a success so far, and we’re eager to publish a review once we get through more of it.

Read on for the announcement.
