Microsoft is kicking off a special Xbox One digital game event of their own beginning this week. Dubbed the “Xbox One Summer Spotlight”, there will be a selection of 25 new digital releases from today through August 31st.
The event will begin with World of Tanks, King’s Quest, Squid Hero for Kinect and Magic Duels: Origins this week, and is expected to continue with Smite, The Swindle, Yasai Ninja and others over the coming weeks.
The rest of the release date is a bit of a secret right now, but here’s what Microsoft has revealed so far (via Xbox Wire and Major Nelson).

We know gamers want new games, so we are giving you what you want! We are excited to announce that, over the next five weeks, the Xbox Store will be bringing over 25 new digital games to Xbox One to play this summer. We will have some of the most anticipated titles of the summer, including King?s Quest and Smite. There will also be great indie titles to explore such as The Swindle and Yasai Ninja. Summer Spotlight will have a wide variety of titles and different genres for fans to explore on their Xbox One. From July 29 ? August 31 we will be bringing you new games every week, so check back every Tuesday to discover new games to play!
