So The Phantom Pain really is Metal Gear Solid V, surprise! Even though internet sleuths had been piecing together the puzzle ever since The Phantom Pain was announced during the VGA’s, Hideo Kojima and company had really been sticking to their guns up to this point.
But now we’ve got an official trailer coming out of the Game Developers Conference 2013 today, unveiling Metal Gear Solid V with a new trailer, that ties in both the previously announced Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain.
Footage here looks incredible, and in typical MGS fashion offers up more questions than answers. But it’s nearly 6 minutes long, and totally worth a look.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced the next chapter in the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise, METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN, will be released on the Sony PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
