Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y coming to Nintendo 3DS in October

As was hinted by Nintendo, the company this morning revealed a brand new, next generation Pok?mon series set to be released onto the Nintendo 3DS later this year.

Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y are in the works and set for an October worldwide release.

The Pok?mon Company and Nintendo announced today that the next generation of Pok?mon video games, Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y, will launch worldwide in October exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS system. New Pok?mon, a new storyline set in a spectacular 3D world, and dynamic battles instantly make Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y two of the most highly anticipated video game titles of 2013.

โ€œThe worldwide launch of Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y this October allows players to begin their adventures at the same time,โ€ said Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of The Pok?mon Company. โ€œNow, Pok?mon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pok?mon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately.โ€

โ€œWe brought Pok?mon into an entirely new dimension and weโ€™re incredibly excited to bring Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y to fans,โ€ said Junichi Masuda, video game director at GAME FREAK inc. โ€œThe stunning visuals, a completely redesigned environment, game scenario, music, and communication features will bring smiles to the faces of video game players around the world.โ€
