Assassins Creed III is shaping up to be a pretty awesome take on one of Ubisoft’s most successful franchises, as plenty of information and video has shown us today. However, Ubisoft also announced a companion piece to the main game would make it’s way exclusively to the Playstation Vita, featuring the first ever female assassin as a main character.
Set in 18th century New Orleans, Liberation puts you in the shoes of Aveline, fighting against the opression (and I’m sure Templars) of the Spanish Empire. Liberation promises to offer up the same open-world environment found in the main console Assassin Creed titles, offering that up for the first time on a portable device. The glimpse we got of the gameplay sure looked like the familiar Assassins Creed style, and I’m definitely looking forward to taking my stealth kills on the road.
