Dive into the seamless combat system of Beast of Reincarnation in the latest trailer

We’re all excited for Beast of Reincarnation I’d wager given that the developer is the team behind the Pokémon franchise, Game Freak. Ahead of its release, both Game Freak and the publisher Fictions showcased a new Combat Overview video for their new title. If you’d like to take a look at the video itself, we’ll have it embedded here for you to take a gander at.

It goes over the blend of its active combat system and the more strategic, command-based systems it boasts. The closest comparison I can give you is probably the Final Fantasy 7 Remake titles’ Active Time Battle combat system. You’ll be attacking, parrying, and using special moves to dispatch your enemies, but you’ll enter a slow-down state while you navigate your menus to pick an ability. Seeing Game Freak develop such a drastically different title is interesting, and with the release on the horizon, videos like these showing off more of the systems only serves to further drum up interest.

They also mention that Emma and Koo (the protagonist and the magic forest wolf) will gain new skills and techniques as you defeat bosses, allowing more player experimentation and freedom with a wide variety of playstyles and build combinations. Build combinations means there’s the potential for the certified classic “big stick” strength build, but time will tell.

For more frequent updates and news releases from the developers and the publishing team, be sure to check out their official channels via Game Freak’s official website and Fictions’ official website. Beast of Reincarnation releases on August 4th on all major platforms.
