Compete for fares with other cabbies as Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s Closed Network Test kicks off in September

SEGA revealed that they will be hosting a Multiplayer Closed Network Test for their upcoming title, Crazy Taxi: World Tour. To stress test the game’s network code, testers will be able to compete in two modes across 2 maps, utilizing 4 drivers and 6 cars. The first mode will be Pickup Race, where up to 6 players will compete to see who has earned the most money in a set amount of time. The second multiplayer mode to be included in the CNT is Cops and Cabbies, where two 3-person teams will likely either attempt to ferry passengers as recklessly/stylishly as possible while the other team hinders their progress.

Signing up for the CNT will begin today and will last until August 11th. The CBT will run from September 11th to the 13th. The purpose of the test is to confirm the stability of online play as the game will feature crossplay amongst the platforms it will be released on.

In addition to the CBT announcement the publisher also showcased a brand new trailer for the West Coast map and some of the activities you can do while offering a ride to denizens of this sun drenched city. It is also confirmed that each map will feature actual branded locations and the West Coast map will offer IHOP and Amoeba Music as passenger destinations.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 sometime in the future.
