Crazy Taxi: World Tour debuts its Japan map, where else…at Tokyo Game Show

Major League Baseball’s Championship, the World Series is a bit of a misnomer, at best it’s really a North American Championship given the league’s teams originate from the US and there is a singular from Canada. So why am I starting droning on about this sardonically? Because I want to show when SEGA is using World in their latest entry of Crazy Taxi, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, that the publisher is using the word “World” properly.

For those who participated in the game’s Closed Network Test earlier in the month you’ll notice that in addition to spending time in the game’s original map on the West Coast, there were instances where you were ferrying passengers or avoiding the cops in Germany. Well today the publisher revealed a 3rd location for this global trek and the destination is…Japan. Politeness be damned when you’re trying to make some crazy money as you get passengers to where they need to go and some of the places include some real world brands such as ramen chain Ichiran, curry chain CoCo Ichibanya, discount retailer Don Quijote and much, much more!

Now if SEGA wants to add an easter egg which will please their fans…why not add famed taxi driver Taichi Suzuki to the playable cast…if you know, you know!
