Today the team decided to do some reminiscing as well as tease what’s to come in two separate videos. The first is a video dubbed “The Journey So Far” features the voice cast, writers (including IDW writer Tom Waltz) reminiscing about the making of the game. The second video, which is short called “Emerging from the Shadows soon…“, seems to offer clues as to who might be stepping through the portal to assist these turtle brothers. Three figures can be seen, the first looks like a turtle in samurai armor, the second looks like a turtle, with a more savage look (It’s likely Slash, folks) and the third is just a pair of fuchsia-tinged pair of eyes staring at you from within a portal.
A third announcement from the team today is that the Switch 2 will get a mostly complete (I’m pretty sure the team isn’t done iterating on the title) version of the game called “TMNT: Splintered Fate Legendary Edition”. This version packs all the free updates that have come to the game so far as well as the DLC which adds Casey Jones, MetalHead, Alopex and one upcoming character as well as the Junkyard biome. This version will also offer a digital artbook which will give readers insight to the game’s path of creation. This physical edition will be out on October 27th 2026 and pre-orders have begun if you want to secure your copy immediately.
As someone who has nearly done everything in the game (Except that killed by a friendly mouser thing…), this bodes well that I will have an opportunity to return to the title in the future. If you even consider yourself a turtles fan, you really need to pick up this game as it will probably be one of the best turtles titles you will ever experience.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is available now on PC, Consoles and the Apple Arcade platform.
