The Clone Wars, Emergence Day, these were two seminal events in two iconic franchises that were originally alluded to, but never really seen played out fully. However with enough time, anything with some sort of mystique will have to be explored as you have to keep a franchise going. We saw the Clone Wars play out during the 2000s and we are a mere week away from fully exploring the Emergence Day when Gears of War E-Day comes out on October 6th. Microsoft is treating as a blockbuster event as we’ve seen the company team with Prince Street Pizza for an activation which saw the New York based chain offer a themed slice with pizza cutter shaped like the prototype lancer rifle (which sold out in mere hours on the pizzeria’s merch site…DAMN IT!) and (yes, I’m finally landing this plane) an apparel drop featuring clothing designed by Roots of Fight.
The line will focus on the franchise’s most beloved characters Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago. Players can pay their respect to the duo by picking up Hats, T-shirts and a Marcus Hoodie (I guess Dom’s not big on keeping warm?) featuring Coalition of Government insignia and Dom’s shirt also features a patch dedicated to the love of his life Maria (However it’s not quite the tattoo which he sports on his upper arm as depicted in the game). All the items are available now on the Xbox Game Studios Shop and we can expect additional items to be added sometime in November.
Gears of War: E-Day will demystify Emergence Day when it reaches the surface on PC and the Xbox Series X|S on October 6th 2026.
