If you’ve ever wanted to create your own role playing games, Gotcha Gotcha Games’ RPG Maker franchise will certainly give you a framework to bring your ideas to life. The next entry in the franchise, RPG Maker U2U, is offering a special demo during the Steam Next Fest which will showcase one of the newest features in the program.
P2D or as the developer dubs “Perspective 2D” allows creators to make 3D maps using 2D sprites. The demo features a tutorial which will help you get on your feet and once you’ve become acclimated you can create your own map. To commemorate the demo, the developer is hosting a community event to showcase what users will create. If you want to participate in the “Let’s Make Some P2D maps!” event, all you will need to do is to take a picture of your creation and share it on the program’s Steam Community Hub or on X using the following hashtag #P2Dmapevent.
The maps which catch the developer’s eye could be featured on the various social media accounts with comments from the team. Full details on the rules and how to join can be seen below.
RPG Maker U2U will be released on PC sometime in the future.
