When we learned that Shift Up CEO Kim Hyung Tae would be making an appearance at SEGA’s Tokyo Game Show Booth, it certainly was a head scratcher. I mean SEGA publishing the title physically in Japan was the reason, but that seemed like a feint compared to what we learned during Nintendo’s latest Direct.
The latest trailer gave us a release date for Stellar Blade Complete edition, meaning Switch 2 players will be able to experience Eve’s adventure along with the NieR and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE content beginning on November 5th. The SEGA connection comes with the brand new costumes that Eve can don and it’s the “fit” of a duo of femme fatale who can hold their own in a scrap, Bayonetta and Jeane from the Bayonetta franchise. This collaboration consists of four Nano suits, Bayonetta, Bayonetta (nun), Jeane and a mysterious outfit which will be revealed at a later date. This collaboration will be available for free wherever Stellar Blade is available on November 5th.
Shift Up also shared news which will please physical collectors as the Switch 2 version of Stellar Blade Complete Edition will be on a cartridge requiring zero downloads to play the game. Pre-orders for the complete edition are also live now and select retailers will be offering a Steelbook case featuring brand new art as a pre-order bonus.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition will reclaim the planet on the Nintendo Switch 2, November 5th 2026. The game is also available now on PC and PlayStation.
