Super Bomberman Collection’s blast radius grows larger as Panic Bomber W is added to this compilation!

I am all for free stuff and it looks like Konami is being quite generous to those who picked up Super Bomberman Collection since it was released this past February on PC and Consoles. For those who need a refresher, this collection brings all five Super Bomberman titles which were released on the SNES/Super Famicom in the 90s. As a bonus the compilation also included the Bomberman titles which debuted on the NES/Famcom. This compilation included quality of life features such as quick load/save, rewind, archival content, music player and a Boss Rush mode which tests your mettle with explosives.

Today the game gets a brand new title in the form of Super Famicom’s Panic Bomber W. This Japanese exclusive puzzle title featured gameplay where you needed to match 3 Bomberman heads in a straight line to clear them off the board as unlit bombs fill the screen (these can be removed by the lit bombs that will occasionally drop into the field) and if you really need to clear things quickly fill up your meter on the side so you can use the big bomb which clears everything within its blast radius. Even though the original is in Japanese only, this version features English localization, so you’ll finally find out what the pre-match conversations are!

Panic Bomber W comes to Super Bomberman Collection today as a free update and Super Bomberman Collection is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch platform.
