Duck King looks like he’s still got it as he preps a return to the fighting arena in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Community Effort Orlando (CEO) took place this weekend in…well, Orlando and as tales of a nearly thirty year sedan dominating in a fast paced fighting game based on a children’s IP were spread…it was a surprisingly quiet show for fighting games announcements. However, with its promise of a new character to be released every month, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves developer, SNK weren’t caught slacking as they debuted a trailer for Duck King before the game’s Top 8 at the event.

The DJ/Professional Dancer’s reason to enter the fray feels like a throw back to comedies of the past. His favorite hangout spot Pao Pao Cafe is on the precipice of being sold, so he looks to use the purse from winning the tournament to buy it to ensure it remains in the hands of his friend Richard Meyer (This is kinda odd…because didn’t the cafe expand to Metro City according to Street Fighter VI?). His raison d’etre in the Episodes of South Town is a bit more serious. After catching wind that Wolfgang Krauser has seemingly returned from the dead, Duck realizes that he can finally have the rematch after being beaten by Kampfringen practitioner many years ago.

Kick it with Salvatore Ganacci’s pal (Remember how pissed the fanbase was when this real DJ was added to the roster and salt was rubbed in the wound when it was revealed that Gannaci’s presence was due to Duck King’s urging?) when Duck King makes his first main line appearance since 1997 on August 27th, 2026.
