Can’t make it to Gamescom? Well tune into Opening Night Live to get a first look at Final Fantasy VII: Revelation

With three words and a couple of hashtags, Square Enix catalyzed excitement into the Final Fantasy fanbase as the premier developer of RPGs revealed that at Opening Night Live, the Geoff Keighley operated pre-Gamescom showcase, that they would be giving viewers around the world a new look at their much anticipated 3rd chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy Revelation.

Since they only said three words, we don’t know what the format of the program will be, but we do know that the director of the game, Naoki Hamaguchi will be present to show fans what they can expect as we head towards the inevitable(?) final showdown of Cloud Strife and Sephiroth.

Gamescom Opening Night Live will be viewable on The Game Awards’ streaming channels (Youtube, Twitch) on August 25th 2026 at 2pm ET, 11am PT.
