Blasterbug: Last Bug Standing looks very much like Hudsonsoft’s long running party titles, but Blasterbug does mix it up with the base ability to punch away the game’s explosive “Pom’s”. It features four unique modes (Deathmatch, Coin Battle, Crown Battle and a very Splatoon coded Paint Battle…although some modern Bomberman games featured this mode) and if you want true chaos, Party Mode randomizes matches with all available play modes.
The game’s playable characters all possess a unique special move which could give you an edge in battle. While not quite a bug, Absolum’s Galandra is the game’s only monetization opportunity, but given what a solid title we’ve been given for free…recruiting this guest character and the stage she comes with is well worth the price.
Blasterbug: Last Bug Standing is available now on PC for free and its Absolum collab DLC is available for the low, low price of $1.99.
