At launch the title will be officially Steam Deck Verified, and will also offer a number of Steam features including achievements (see ’em here) along with a treasure trove of Collectibles such as virtual trading cards, profile backgrounds, badges, emoticons and more.
Check out the details below, and stay tuned for our first wave of hands-on coverage before the title launches on July 9th, 2026!
Hi Assassins!
In case you missed the headline, we’re so excited to tell you that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is going to be Steam Deck Verified at launch! That’s right, our teams have worked hard to make sure that the game is not only playable in as many places as possible but looks and plays great from PC to handheld.
We’re very happy that you’ll be able to play the game your way, and we’ve been busy making sure that your journey through the Caribbean with Edward is comparable however and wherever you choose to experience it. Not only does the game look and run great on Steam Deck, but our developers have worked hard on features like raytracing across all platforms, dynamic weather that looks and feels fantastic, and a Caribbean remade from the ground up with modern platforms in mind.
In addition to the game being Steam Deck verified on launch day, you’ll also be able to unlock Steam Achievements and Steam Collectibles like virtual trading cards, profile backgrounds, badges, and emoticons right from day one.
