Ahoy assassins, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has launched worldwide

We rather loved Ubisoft’s remaster of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag as you can see in our Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced review from yesterday, and today’s the day it becomes available to everyone!

To celebrate the launch, Ubisoft dropped a “Horizon” launch trailer (which is a “resynced” version of the memorable E3 2013 trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag), so make sure to check that out if you’re still on the fence about the refreshed pirate-themed AC experience.

Either way, all editions (Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s) are now available for the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.   Pick up a copy at Amazon and other retailers.

[ESRB] Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: Horizon Launch Trailer (2026)

Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, is now available worldwide. The game is available on Ubisoft+*, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam (including Steam Deck verification) and the Epic Games Store.

Led by Ubisoft Singapore**, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a faithful remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, originally released in 2013. Rebuilt from the ground up and powered by the latest Anvil engine, the game features updated visuals and enriched gameplay, including parry‑driven combat, improved stealth and parkour, deeper naval mechanics, and new narrative content.

Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced invites players to sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway, a rebellious pirate captain drawn into the centuries-old conflict between Assassins and Templars. As Edward pursues glory and fortune, he crosses paths with legendary figures such as Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack, while the fate of everything the pirates have built hangs in the balance.

To celebrate the launch, Ubisoft released a resynced version of the famous E3 2013 trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Collaborating with the same artists involved in the making of the original Horizon trailer, this new version takes inspiration from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and showcases the beauty of the Caribbean, powered by the latest version of the Anvil engine.

In addition, Brian Tyler’s timeless original compositions, including the iconic Black Flag Main Theme, are joined by 22 newly crafted tracks by Stephen Lukach, written exclusively for Resynced.
