Pre-order your Grand Theft Auto VI codes at the stroke of midnight, tonight!

Grand Theft Auto VI is real, unfortunately the only thing you’ll be holding in your hands is a plastic case with a slip of paper…let me explain. Rockstar Games and publisher Take Two Interactive revealed their long awaited next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series will be available for pre-order on June 25th, 2026.

Players can choose from a Standard Edition ($79.99) which only includes the base game or an Ultimate Edition ($99.99) which will include cosmetics, vehicles and in-game stores that will only be available to users who purchase this SKU (see some new screens below). Digital pre-orders will start pre-loading on November 12th, seven days before the game’s November 19th launch and to ensure parity for people who purchase the retail edition, all “physical” versions of the game will just be a code in box. Meaning there will not be physical media in the package, however it will be available for pick up on November 12th so these “physical” purchasers can pre-load the title and be ready day one like their digital brethren.

While the game being a code in a box is quite disappointing to hear, I understand why it’s being done. Afterall the last thing Rockstar needs is for some retailer to let a couple copies out in the wild early and some streamer unofficially showcase the title. Hopefully down the line, physical collectors will have a means of owning some sort of media in regards to this titanic release.

Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19th 2026, pre-orders will kick off on digital and physical retailers tonight at the stroke of midnight on June 25th, 2026.

Ed’s Note: Anyone who pre-orders or purchases any edition of the game before November 20th will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack as seen below.
