Get back on the chair Shinji, you’re not part of The First Descendant x Evangelion collaboration!

In service since July of 2024, Nexon’s The First Descendant has been somewhat selective when it comes to collaboration events. In a little under 2 years of service the game has only offered 2 collaboration events with properties such as NieR Automata and Bayonetta. The free to play online looter shooter is about to embark on another collaboration where the ladies will see cosmetics and the guys…will get nothing.

Starting on June 18th and running for six weeks, players can acquire character skins of Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley and Mari Makinami Illustrious, weapon skins, emotes and cosmetics. For those who are a bit cash strapped, you can earn collaboration name cards and photo frames by completing in-game missions.

Aside from the collaboration game will be getting a weapon and a dungeon located in the Axion Plains. The weapon is a hand cannon named “Shackles of Mortality” and its special ability is to afflict “rest” on enemies. Although you might think “rest” is a good status, it’s actually more akin to poison as those afflicted will receive continuous damage. Also upon death the status will spread to targets within a select area…making sure that the pain will continue to spread.

The Axion Plains Dungeon, dubbed Bastion of Immortality will feature a randomized layout. Those who get to the end will have to face off against “The Administrator”.

The First Descendant is available now on PC, the Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
