We now know definitively that the Persona part of the collaboration will involve the most recent versions of the mainline Persona series (Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal). The key art revealed features each member of the Counters team holding something behind their backs which represent an iconic part of each title, be it the Dark Hour, Midnight Channel and of course the calling card of the Phantom Thieves. This will likely mean that a member of S.E.E.S., the Inaba Investigation team and the Phantom Thieves will be picking up a weapon and taking on the raptures this August 13th.
Given collaborations generally are not guaranteed to return (Although the Evangelion and NieR contents did appear as these two properties had a second collaboration with the title), if you are a fan of Persona you might want to be diligent in spending your recruit tickets, gems or even mileage points to secure whoever may be representing this title. As for me, I’ll settle for one unit and lament I will never get these characters’ burst animations as lobby animations…The perils of being a responsible adult.
