WB Games punctuates the latest LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight trailer with a “Kiss From a Rose”

Nostalgia is a powerful thing, sometimes some sensory event will trigger something deep in your mind and remind you of days past. Apparently a single from recording artist Seal’s second album seal will invoke many to think of…Batman? Yes, Kiss from a Rose, the 6th track from the 1994 album reminds people of Batman because it was featured on the Dark Knight’s 1995 cinematic escapade Batman Forever. WB Games is now leveraging this powerful nostalgia effect to promote their upcoming Batman title, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

The game set to release on May 22nd 2026 will cover Bruce Wayne’s journey from sad orphan to becoming Gotham City’s greatest symbol of justice. The game will touch upon the various depictions of the bat from the very pages of the comics where he was born, to television, and film…all with that trademark LEGO video games humor.

Start your LEGO Batman journey 3 days early on May 19th when you pick up the Deluxe Edition of the game which also includes the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack, Party Music Mayhem Pack, Sinister Pack and the ability to play as The Joker and Harley Quinn in a brand new Story Mission!

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will prove criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot when it crashes through the belfry on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on May 22nd, 2026. A Switch 2 version of the game will be released at a later date.
