Looks like Kunimitsu is picking up some extracurricular activities in the newest Tekken 8 gameplay trailer

This past weekend at EVO Japan, Bandai Namco offered a gameplay teaser for the first character in the game’s third season pass, the kunoichi Kunimitsu. For those who need a brief recap, this is not Kunimitsu from the first two Tekken titles, but rather her daughter who made her debut in the series’ 7th entry.

Taking on a job from the United Nation Forces, she would find herself going undercover at the Mishima Technical College in order to discover the inner workings of the Mishima Zaibatsu. It seems she was extremely good at undercover work, having voted in as the Vice President of the student council at the school. In her investigations she would uncover that a student named Reina Yaotome was in a Mishima! Instead of revealing each other’s secrets the two decided to work together for now. This partnership bore fruit as Reina’s intel led Kunimitsu the cursed nodachi,Kuatatou. Armed with this new weapon she enters the King of Iron Fist to hopefully bring the curse sword Yoshimitsu (wielded by…you guessed it, Yoshimitsu) to honor her ailing mother.

Kunimitsu will begin her latest mission on June 27th for those who own the Tekken 8 Year 3 Character Pass and she will be available for purchase for everyone else on June 1st. For those looking to find out who the fourth character in Tekken 8 Year 3 Pass should tune into Combo Breaker, a Midwest based tournament set to take place from May 22nd to the 24th.

Tekken 8 is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5.
