Invincible VS showers players with new DLC, this one featuring Rex Splode.

One of the things I praised about Invincible VS was the sizable amount of cosmetic unlockables the game offered via gameplay. Little did I know my statement would come to bite me in the ass when the game launched and a plethora of paid skins were ready for purchase on day one.

I will have to say some of these skins do depict the characters in memorable moments, such as alternate versions of Invincible and Eve, Battle Beast’s comic incarnation. However I can see why the team at Quarter Up cut a trailer just for this skin…and by do I mean “skin”

Rex Splode Towel Skin depicts Rex when Atom Eve finds out her then boyfriend had been cheating with her on fellow teammate Dupli-Kate (Invincible Issue #25 or S1E3 if you’re an animated series person). I do have to laugh that the contents underneath the towel is blurred, and I’m curious whether or not when the character gets overkilled, will we see that blurred part go flying? Is that something I’m willing to pay $10 to find out? Maybe I mean I literally spent $12 bucks eating pizza with lettuce on it to get a skin for Invincible this past weekend.

Invincible VS is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
