Is $6.99 a month worth getting access to dozens of indie games? Indie Pass says, YES!

I’m gonna say a very non-controversial statement here. The profile of indie games certainly has increased in the last decade. However for every title which catches fire such as Balatro, there’s probably hundreds more languishing to get attention. Well it seems publisher indie.io is looking to solve the problem using the rising tides raises all boats approach with their new subscription based service Indie Pass.

Set to launch on April 13th, the service is looking to give subscribers access to over 70+ title library that will grow in time. The service will offer game publishers a non-exclusive, no-risk participation model which will offer revenue based on time played. This type of revenue model might be great for games which run longer such as RPGs, but for shorter titles I can’t see this time played model working out for them. Needless to say it will be a service worth monitoring…hopefully they will be able to sign up some “super indie” titles which will lure folks in.

Indie Pass will be coming to PC exclusively on April 13th, 2026.
