Gaming Age checks out the new Nintendo NY Store for its grand re-opening

After serving fans for more than 10 years, Nintendo World Store shut it doors last month to renovate their space and rebrand as Nintendo NY.  Today they held a big grand re-opening for fans, who started lining up around 6am on Thursday (2/18/16), and as of this morning it had stretched for several city blocks. On hand for the occasion were several Nintendo of America executives, as well as the man behind the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, who was signing autographs and recording video messages for fans all whilst talking as Mario.

Prior to the store opening for customers and fans, Nintendo held a media event to showcase all of the changes to the store and to hold a ribbon cutting to officially signal the re-opening of the store. Below are some photos from the event that showcase the new layout and some product that was on sale for people to purchase.
