Insomniac Games reveals metroidvania-style Song of the Deep

Insomniac Games this morning finally provided us with a look at their original new multiplatform action-adventure project: Song of the Deep.

The studio has taken the side-scrolling metroidvania formula and has combined it with an interesting underwater setting and of course some very pretty visuals. If it doesn’t have an amazing water-themed soundtrack, everyone will be super disappointed we’re sure.

Either way, Song of the Deep hits the PS4, Xbox One and PC in summer 2016.  Get a first look at the game below.

Song of the Deep is a metroidvania-style action-adventure game following a young girl?s quest into the unknown to find her missing father. Combining discovery, skill, and suspense with an unforgettable narrative, this underwater journey will challenge players to explore, experiment, and skillfully navigate a vast ocean landscape. Song of the Deep launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this summer, 2016.
