Bandai Namco will bring Planes, Mechs, Balls and Kitties to New York Comic Con next week!

One of the biggest conventions on the East Coast is set to kick off in a little over a week and Bandai Namco has revealed what they’ll be bringing when they exhibit at New York Comic Con.

The house of Pac-Man, Tekken and Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer (Unfortunately, two of the three games mentioned will not have a presence) will be offering hands on with four of the new and upcoming releases as well as a panel featuring the one of the company’s most iconic characters.

The Bandai Namco Booth (#2319) will play host to demo stations for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, Gundam Rogue Orbit and Hello Kitty and Friends in Hello Kitty Party Land. In addition to demos there will be giveaways for those who try these titles and photo opps to commemorate your NYCC experience.

Meanwhile at the Dragon Ball Booth (#2341), players can get a taste of Age 1000 when they check out the demo for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. The long awaited sequel to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (We’re talking 10 years since they supported Xenoverse 2 for a decade) will allow you to create your own hero in the distant future of the Dragon Ball universe and utilize moves from some of your favorite characters.

Finally if you’ve grown tired from walking the show floor, why not take a break…a snack break. As in North-Room 406.2 at 3pm on Friday October 9th, you’re encouraged to get a behind the scenes look at PAC-MAN: Snack Breaks, the short form animated series that airs exclusively on YouTube  featuring Pac-Man and his friends. The creators and voice actors from the series will be on stage to discuss the creation of the show, and even an early look at a halloween themed episode. The panel will also feature giveaways and a Pac-Man: Cosplay Showcase.

With Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve receiving high marks from our very own Braden Czerwinski, I would highly recommend attendees to check out the game (even if it means I might have to wait on a longer wait…but it’s a worthwhile sacrifice.). Gundam Rogue Orbit also looks like an action packed title that strays from the projectile heavy experiences we’ve seen from the past. Given it’s previous entry was supported for a decade, I’m sure the devs of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will be dialed in and we are in for a title that will likely last for the next decade. I also won’t judge anyone who checks out the Hello Kitty game…cause I totally did crisscross the city to try to find those McDonalds Godzilla x Hello Kitty toys. Needless to say Bandai Namco will have quite the crowd during the show’s four day run.

New York Comic Con will take place at the Jacob Javits Center from October 9th to the 12th. Tickets for the show can be purchased via the convention’s website.
