Namco Bandai announces Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection

Namco Bandai officially announced North America is indeed getting an HD collection of the immensely popular Dragon Ball Z fighters from last gen, well, 2 of them at least. The Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection will contain an HD up-port of the first Budokai title and Budokai 3. From what I understand these seem to be the fan favorites, but it is odd to dub this a collection and leave out the second game. Even the Devil May Cry collection kept in the second game, regardless of how much people seem to hate it.

Still, if you’re interested to play these games again, or run through them for the first time, you’ll be able to get your mitts on this collection come Winter. No firm release date or pricing just yet, but I’d be surprised to see this venture away from that magical $40 mark that most HD collections seem to get. The game is scheduled to release to both the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms, and comes with full trophy and achievement support.

Check out the details in the full press release below, along with the European trailer for the game from a couple weeks back.
