While we’re patiently waiting for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 to launch for the PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year, Konami was busy putting together a top 10 list for the series.

Yet another game we got to see a bit more of at the Spike TV VGAs was Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The Mercury Steam-developed new Castlevania title is set in present day and thankfully features a vampire slaying Belmont.
We knew it seemed a little suspicious that with their gamescom update, Konami didn’t bother mentioning a release date at all for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. And now we know why…
The next big (but still portable) new Castlevania adventure is looking quite good for the Nintendo 3DS so far, and Konami sent over a set of new gamescom screens showing off the non-2D action in the game.
