As part of Bandai Namco’s RG Project, which is their “next-generation Gundam initiative”, is a new title that’s deep in development known as Gundam Rogue Orbit. The new Gundam game experience was revealed not all that long ago as part of the Summer Games Fest back in June, in case you missed the festivities.
Anyway, the action-packed title gives players, as pilot Rex, control of the Gundam Helix, which can be customized quite a bit as can be seen in the new gameplay walkthrough video. Check it out below!
Gundam Rogue Orbit is set for a March 5th, 2027 release for the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT – Gameplay Walkthrough Trailer
In GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, players step into the cockpit as Rex, pilot of the Gundam Helix, and forge bonds with unlikely companions as humanity faces the terrifying forces unleashed by the Apocalypse. The trailer follows players from mission briefing aboard the special service craft Stellarvane to deployment, where they can blaze across the battlefield with multi-directional mobility and overwhelm waves of advancing enemies.
Before deploying, players can customize the Gundam Helix’s weapons, frame, skills, and color scheme to create the ultimate mobile suit for their preferred battle style. Each build will be put to the test against massive Apocalypse enemies, where players must target unique weak points, activate Over-rise to dramatically enhance the Gundam Helix’s performance, and unleash a devastating AP Unit Burst to turn the tide of battle.
