In 2019 players were introduced to the Federal Bureau of Control and its newest director, Jesse Faden. Jesse reluctantly takes up the role in order to progress with the search for her brother and thus the events of Control were set into motion. Today the game’s sequel Control Resonant comes out where the twist is the former is now searching for the latter.
Dylan Faden, the man at the center of Control’s plot is now your playable avatar as he seeks to face down unknown forces which have transformed Manhattan as well as contending with the disappearance of his sister Jesse.
To celebrate the launch Remedy also announced that the game’s opening credits song Upperhand from and I’m not making this up…”Cello Metal” band Apocalyptica will be available on streaming platforms starting today. The second bit of news related to Control Resonant is that a line of Control related merchandise will be available exclusively at iam8bit.com. If you remember previous collaborations between iam8bit and Remedy entertainment (That damn Alan Wake 2 Thermos), you know items can run out in a blink of an eye, so lock in that pre-order and expect your goods to arrive later this year.
Control: Resonant is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
