Toys for Bob celebrates Spyro the Dragon’s birthday with a flammable cake and quick look at Spyro: A Realm Beyond!

September 9th will forever be the SEGA Dreamcast’s birthday, but the team at Toys for Bob will like to remind gamers that other major gaming milestones happened on this date. You see a year in 1998 on the very same date earlier Spyro the Dragon had to rescue his fellow dragons and recover their treasure on his first adventure on the original PlayStation.

To commemorate this date, the team at Toys for Bob sent burn-away cakes to select fans, creators and press, but for those who weren’t a recipient of the cake, the studio also shared a video of a similar cake which was lit with a fire which revealed a brand new piece of key art for the recently announced title, Spyro: A Realm Beyond. We also got a blog post which shared some images of the dragon’s newest stomping grounds, Arcadian Vale.

Hopefully we’ll learn more about Spyro: A Realm Beyond including a release platforms and a release window.
