The clip dubbed “STRANGER THAN HEAVEN × “Battles Without Honor and Humanity” Collaboration Tribute Trailer” showcases music, editing from a bygone era. Why Battles Without Honor and Humanity? Well, because one of the stars of that franchise, Bunta Sugawara is featured posthumously in Stranger than Heaven and like the game, the film franchise takes a look at the growth of the Yakuza over the course of a decade (In Stranger than Heaven it’s technically five decades). While it should be noted that the trailer doesn’t represent what you will experience in Stranger than Heaven, it certainly is a nice homage to a series which likely has been quite an inspiration for this and the Like a Dragon titles. Japanese fans can also expect collaboration merch out of this whole and eager western fans can reach out to proxy buyers if they are serious in joining in on the fun.
Stranger than Heaven is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 on January 15th, 2027.
