I’m not gonna use the low hanging fruit “Gotta Catch’em All” in this news post regarding the upcoming Krispy Kreme x Pokémon collaboration

You really don’t need to do anything special to get me to go to Krispy Kreme, but that doesn’t mean they won’t try. The doughnut brand best known for their “Hot Light” has teamed up with yet another iconic gaming brand to bring more whimsy to eating treats.

Starting on August 18th, fans of Pokémon can find five of the franchise’s most iconic characters immortalized on edible delights. Doughnuts featuring the original three starters, the mischief pink puff and the brand’s mascot can be found in Krispy Kreme nationwide and in pre-packaged half dozen boxes in select retailers. In addition to the doughnuts, Krispy Kreme will also offer their Original Glazed Gold Dots in a Pokémon themed Cup.

For those wondering what flavors this collab entails, here’s the breakdown:

• Bulbasaur Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in vanilla flavored icing and topped with frosting and a Bulbasaur piece.
• Charmander Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut with chocolate and toasted marshmallow flavored filling, dipped in orange colored caramel icing and sparks of red and gold sugar, topped with a Charmander piece.
• Squirtle Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut piped with cotton candy flavored buttercreme, dipped in sanding sugar and nonpareils, and topped with a surfing Squirtle piece.
• Pikachu Doughnut – an unglazed shell filled with lemon flavored Kreme™ filling dipped in vanilla icing, decorated with electrifying drizzle and nonpareils, and topped with a Pikachu piece.
• Jigglypuff Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut piped with strawberry flavored buttercreme, sprinkled with strawberry flavored cookie, and topped with a Jigglypuff piece.
• Poké Ball Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in vanilla flavored icing and red sprinkles, piped with chocolate icing.

However that’s not all, because any visitors who visit Krispy Kreme retail shops while wearing any Pokémon attire on August 22nd can claim a free glazed doughnut!
