The combination machine gun with a chainsaw bayonet has excited every gamers every time those chain teeth rip into the flesh of the locust horde. So with Gears of War: E-Day giving us a first hand look at the day the Human Locust War began, we’re also going to see the creation of the icon weapon, from its in field conception to the prototype which would become the mass produced legend. To honor the revelation of this iconic weapon’s creation the Xbox Games Studio Shop is offering gamers a chance to hold the Prototype Lancer in their hands with the Prototype Lancer Replica.

This is a 1:1 replica built using game assets and features hand painted weathering effects, giving the item a “well worn” look. The Prototype Lancer Replica will weigh roughly six pounds and its dimensions are as follows 36” long by 14” tall and 8” wide. As someone who owned the first Lancer replica that was exclusively sold on Amazon, I think it’s time for an upgrade…by going back to where the weapon began.

The Gears of War: Prototype Lancer Replica is available now on the Official Xbox Games Studio Shop at $299.99. The item is surprisingly popular and has already sold through it’s first allotment, any order made after August 20th will ship in February 2027.
