Persona and Kura Sushi urges diners to “Take your plate” in a collaboration set to kick off August 1st

ATLUS’ Persona franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary and it looks like they will be taking the party to the conveyor belt sushi chain, Kura Sushi. 

Starting on August 1st, Kura Sushi stores across the US will be featuring dishes, capsule prizes and even decor featuring the various games of Persona series. In addition to the chain’s standard fare, diners can enjoy dishes inspired by the Persona series such as:

• Weird Takoyaki Tempura Roll: Takoyaki wrapped with sushi rice and seaweed, tempura-fried and topped with mayonnaise, green onion, and bonito flakes.
• Rainy Day Special Beef Bowl: Sushi rice topped with sukiyaki beef and a seasoned soft-boiled egg.
• Calling Card Tuna Roll: Negitoro and cucumber wrapped in seaweed and sushi rice, finished with sesame seeds and topped with tuna, mayonnaise, spicy crunchy garlic, and fried onion.

For those who have big appetites that can put away 15 plates and more, you will be eligible to receive a random prize from the chain’s Bikkura Pon capsule prize system. Once the appropriate amount of plates have been returned the system will dispense an opaque sphere which could contain one of 11 collectible sticker 3-piece sets, acrylic charms, and can badges. For those who do not want to deal with the randomness or are ordering food to go you can select the items of your choice on an in-store ordering tablet or the take out menu.

Diners familiar with the chain’s presentation will know that short animations will air as you return your empty plates, well with this collaboration you might catch some shorts featuring some familiar faces. Animations featuring Morgana, Koromaru and Teddie will randomly play as you clear your table.

Kura Sushi Rewards Members will be privy to a cooling towel w/ case starting on August 5th if their dine-in bill meets the minimum of $85 dollars.

As someone who is a frequent diner at Kura, I know there will definitely be a trip to my local branch in the near future (I’m gunning for that towel). So if you are a Persona fan and there’s a Kura Sushi branch near you, don’t hesitate to book a reservation ASAP!
