Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Open Beta is set to deploy on August 21st!

In case you didn’t see our article on the NYC Fanatics Fest for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which took place over the weekend and/or you didn’t attend yourself in person, Activision had some announcements to make.  Primarily.. the Open Beta dates, which kicks off August 21st, 2026 (for those who-preorder…) which neatly is coordinated to happen alongside the Call of Duty: Next event, and the sleek first look at the Aston Martin Dreadnought vehicle.  The true Open Beta for those who do not pre-order will happen on week 2 though, starting August 28.

But wait, there’s more… the Nintendo Switch 2 version’s pre-orders will open up a bit later on August 26th, and for those who pre-order Modern Warfare 4 and also take part in Black Ops 7 Season 05 beginning later this week will unlock the Moonlit Pearl Universal Camo along with a Challenge that can earn players the Gilded Ruin Universal Camo, both of which will move over to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
