On June 19th, What a horrible night to have a demo…of The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest!

While it might’ve started out as a “joke”, however retro game developer extraordinaire Programancer has been diligently working on his own comedic gothic adventure title featuring vampires and a whip wielding hero dubbed The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest. Those who have had the means to attend conventions across this great land of ours since its announcement in 2024 have had the opportunity to demo the game wherever its publisher Retroware had a presence (I can say I’ve played it at PAX East, MAG Fest and I definitely looked at the machine at PAX East 2026.). However on June 19th 2026, whether you are homebound voluntarily or involuntarily, you can experience the first region of the title as publisher Retroware will be releasing the game’s first public demo on Steam.

Vampire hunting is clearly a family affair, and when Simon Quest of the famed Quest Clan finds out a rival family beaten him to the punch in slaying Count Dracula, the only thing he can do to reclaim the honor for his family is to resurrect the Dark Lord and kill him by his own hands. This retro tinged parody title will offer gameplay and visuals that are no joke! This demo will allow players to explore the region of Bram in the Adventure Mode, or if you want to get straight to the combat, check out Action Mode. Simon will be able to utilize his clan’s whip as well as 8 subweapons in a quest which will feature danger, easter eggs and even some laughs.

The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest will stalk the night when it comes to PC, Switch, the Xbox and PlayStation platforms sometime in the future.
