Steam Deck pricing gets a substantial increase beginning today

If you haven’t already picked up an OLED Steam Deck from Valve, you missed out on a bargain!  Valve has quietly bumped up the prices of both pieces of their portable PC hardware by quite a lot, as you can see on the official site.

Previously $549.00, the new price of the 512GB OLED is now $789.00, which is a $240 bump.  The 1TB OLED model on the other hand has gone from $649.99 to$949.00, which is a whopping $300 increase, all due to market condition, component shortages and those unnecessary tariffs too.

That’s the bad news.  The good news is that both models appear to be available right now on the site! See the Steam Deck price updates below.

Model Previous Price New Price Increase
512GB OLED $549.00 $789.00 +$240.00 (+43%)
1TB OLED $649.00 $949.00 +$300.00 (+46%)
