Donkey Kong 64 is set to swing into your Nintendo Switch Online library on June 3rd

The classic and iconic Nintendo 64 platformer, Donkey Kong 64, is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch Online library soon, for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 owners. Well, that is if you also subscribe to the Expansion Pack.

Donkey Kong 64 joins the growing lineup of quite good N64 classics, which you can get up to speed with here, if you haven’t been doing so: https://www.nintendo.com/us/online/nintendo-switch-online/classic-games/. Make sure to check it out on June 3rd when it goes live!

On June 3, Donkey Kong and friends hit the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems when their classic Nintendo 64 adventure, Donkey Kong 64, is added to the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics library.

With a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you’ll be able to join the DK crew as they climb, swim and jump through treacherous and puzzling areas while taking advantage of their special abilities and upgrades. Hunt for collectibles and play wacky minigames while solo, or duke it out in battle arenas with friends in four-player split-screen action (additional accessories may be required for multiplayer mode; sold separately). There’s enough fun to go around to make you go bananas!

Donkey Kong 64 begins with K. Rool back again for another nefarious Kong-quest. Our furry hero Donkey Kong (the leader of the bunch) must take the fight to K. Rool and the Kremlings, reclaim his Golden Bananas and save his homeland from certain doom. Choose from DK, Diddy Kong, Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong and Chunky Kong and play solo in a quirky adventure or with friends in competitive battle arenas.

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership gives players access to a library of Nintendo 64 games with added online play for up to four players, a library of select Game Boy Advance games and retro SEGA Genesis games. It also includes access to Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC (full version of game required to use DLC for that game; sold separately) at no additional cost. Nintendo Switch 2 players can also access a library of classic Nintendo GameCube games, Rewind and CRT Filter features for compatible Nintendo 64 games, as well as upgrade packs1 for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (full version of game required to use content for that game; sold separately) at no additional cost.
