You gotta start’em off young, as new items come to the My Mario collection

Not all of us are shirking adult responsibilities and have extended their bloodline by having kids. However if you want to raise the next generation of gamers you probably want to start them young and Nintendo’s recent My Mario Initiative is looking to help with introducing your young’uns to the world of the Mushroom Kingdom in a safe and family friendly way.

So far the line has featured character apparel, toys for infants as well as toddlers, and even an app featuring Mario. Today the line expands even further as Nintendo has revealed the following new offerings.

  • Hello, Mario! board book – This interactive board book by Nintendo and published by Penguin Random House features pages with interactive tabs to pull and move around. Depending on the interaction, Mario may even remove his hat and spin his eyes!
  • Hello, Yoshi! app – Playfully interact with Yoshi in this free app1 available for compatible smart devices, as well as the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems via Nintendo eShop, just like the free Hello, Mario! app. Pull, stretch, spin and poke Yoshi’s face to see a range of silly reactions. Yoshi can even play peekaboo! After playing for a while, Yoshi will fall fast asleep, creating a great opportunity to take a break and help parents limit children’s screen time.
  • “It’s Me, Mario!” Stop Motion Shorts, Episode 7 – Fans of all ages can enjoy this series featuring Mario and his friends. The latest episode is available now on the My Mario website and on the official Play Nintendo YouTube channel.
  • Three wooden block sets – Introduce your child to the world of Mario with these new three-piece building block sets: Peach Wood Block Set, Yoshi Wood Block Set and Luigi Wood Block Set. (These pieces are also featured in the Mario & Friends Wood Block 30pc set.) Designed to stimulate the imagination, these beech hardwood blocks can open a new world for children to create their own adventures. Plus, the Peach, Yoshi and Luigi blocks can be used as amiibo figures in any games that are compatible with Super Mario amiibo figures. Visit amiibo.com for details on amiibo functionality.
