The new pricing starting this week is $22.99/month, down from $29.99/month for Xbox players (and $16.49 to $13.99 for PC players) looks great on paper for those who subscribe, but of course there’s a catch. Future releases of Call of Duty titles will not be included in the service until they are on the market for about a year, which works out to be around the Holidays, annually. So if you were the type of player who ate the cost of the membership just to get day one Call of Duty access, that will no longer be the case.
Whether this is good or bad for Xbox is yet to be seen, though it’s definitely an interesting twist and a benefit for those Xbox players who aren’t in a rush to play the latest Call of Duty experience. Will this be a slippery slope and lead to other big titles being delayed on the service? Who knows!

Beginning this year, future Call of Duty titles won’t join Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch.
