Teamwork will help you survive the climb in the Ascend the Shinra Tower – Final Fantasy VII Boardgame

I think collectively we’re all waiting on baited breath for when the third entry of the Final Fantasy Remake trilogy will arrive and Square Enix is hoping to dull the pain with…a board game?

Ascend the Shinra Tower – Final Fantasy VII Boardgame will have you and the eco warriors of Avalanche climb the Shinra Tower. As you ascend the tower will become more unstable. It is up to you and your fellow players to place character blocks strategically  in hopes of stabilizing the tower in hopes that Cloud Strife will make it to the 8th floor. If you can do that, play the victory fanfare, cause you win!

You can play the game alone or with up to five friends, sessions will take roughly 15-30 minutes, so it’s a perfect appetizer before the main game of a game night. Hopefully my snooty friends won’t turn it down because it’s not a “euro” and it’s licensed…

Ascend the Shinra Tower – Final Fantasy VII Boardgame is expected to ship in January 2027, but you can pre-order the game now at the Square Enix Store here.
